NEET Entrance Exam

  • First, make the NCERT book as your strong base.
  • Divide your time equally among all subjects. Instead of focusing on a single subject, try to prepare all subjects methodically.
  • In case you are solving lengthy calculation, try and solve the problem through approximation.
  • Take the mock test as much you can! It is the most important and useful way to judge your preparation. Time yourself when attempting each one.
  • Take short breaks at regular intervals but do not engage in any distractions.
  • Try and solve few questions from past 5 years AIPMT question paper every week. Remember the name of the examination has changed but the pattern is same with AIPMT.
Physics:

  • Rather than merely cramping up the theory, it will be better if you understand the principle. Memorizing the basic theory would be useful, but at the same time, more focus should be on the numerical part.
  • To make the physics subject more interesting always relate the question with your own practical life. Figure out the context first. You don’t have to understand all the small details, but once you know what you’re dealing with, in general, you will know how to formulate your answer and which equations to use.
  • Now if we talk about physics chapters in general. Chapters like Kinematics, NLM, Thermodynamics, Heat, Optics and Waves, can only be prepared only if your concept is strong. As an N.E.E.T aspirant, you should focus more on numerical which is directly formula based.
  • Always take the note of new words, the unit of measure, general principle and other concepts that arise. Study flashcards can help you quickly memorise and organise all this information.

Chemistry:

  • In inorganic chemistry, you have to learn everything by heart, so NCERT is the best book to start.
  • To study organic chemistry, you must know the names of the various compounds that constitute the reagents, substrates etc.
  •  Study regularly and moderately. Do not pick the new topic at this point in time.
  •  Also, start creating your mechanism. You may make mistakes in the beginning, but that’s okay. Involve the conditions, reactants and any other data given and start making some logic.

With just a few hours left for the NEET exam, there must be a lot going on in your head all the time. Formulae, equations, diagrams, question banks, mock papers, etc., the list may be endless. However, do not bite off more than you can chew. Craft a realistic study plan and stick to the schedule. Include timely breaks and do not forget to track your revision progress.

Increase your speed and accuracy

With one mark being deducted for every wrong answer, students need to keep a check on their accuracy levels. Attempt mock test papers by keeping a stopwatch with you. Assess how much time you take for each section and improve your speed accordingly.

Do not resort to guesswork

At the fag end of the exam, there are chances you may witness lack of adequate time to solve the rest of the paper. In such a situation, do not fall prey to guesswork. Top 8 mistakes students make while preparing for SSC CGL 2018 Exam

http://www.ugccoaching.in/ssc-coaching-center-in-chandigarh/

SSC Entrance Exam

 1. Not understanding the exam pattern and syllabus

Many aspirants jump into the preparation by joining a coaching institute and rely on the topics that are covered by the institute. It is only when they start practicing mock tests that they realize that their preparation is not enough for the exam. Preparation should be started by first understanding the exam syllabus and studying the cut-offs for previous years. Practice a few previous year papers and see how you score in them to get an understanding of how you need to start preparing.

2. Ignoring the technical aspects of the exam

Aspirants must familiarize themselves with the technical aspects of the online exam system. Practicing on pen and paper and with books can definitely help you master the concepts and speed but don't wait till the exam day to attempt test in an online mode. You must practice as many online mock tests as possible to get familiar with the interface and online experience.

3. Preparing for multiple exams simultaneously

Many aspirants prepare for SSC CGL /banking and other exams simultaneously. Please note that each exam has a different way to assess the aspirants. Some exams are more analytical, some are concept oriented, some are practice-oriented. Additionally, these exams happen in multiple tiers/phases and you should be working on not only the next phase but at least for the phase after that too. So, you should choose your exam preferences and prioritize carefully.

4. Referring to too many books/sources

You have to be specific with the study material for SSC CGL Exams. You should avoid referring too many books or study material or online platforms. Stick to the resources of your choice and be thorough with them. Talk to students who have cleared these exams and they'll advise you the same thing.

5. Not planning your studies in advance
Planning is one step which can save you not only from wasting your time but will also help you make judicious use of it. Aspirants have only 75 - 80 days for tier 1 exam. You should make a proper strategy and study plan which covers all topics. Regular practice of tests and quizzes should be a part of your daily plan.

6. Not giving due preference to all subjects

Don't fall in the trap of focussing 'only' on your strengths. While it is important to maximize a score in your strong areas, it is equally important to be strong in all subjects. The cut-off for SSC exam last year for very high and it is expected that competition will be higher this year. Each subject carries equal marks and can be potentially very scoring.

7. Relying only on short tricks

While SSC is known for not changing the pattern and even repeating the questions in certain exams. You must learn the basics as well as short tricks instead of relying only on shortcut approaches. This will help you apply your concepts in case there are any variations in the question.

8. Not making notes

Especially for subjects like general studies, it is super important to revise the study material regularly. You should make short notes on them so that you can easily revise them regularly and before the exam.

All The for Best SSC Exam!!
